Mission Statement
The Bowling Green, OH Police Division is committed to serving the community. We take our mission statement very seriously and strive daily to uphold its meaning:
The mission of the Bowling Green Police Division is to improve the quality of life experienced in the City's neighborhoods, to involve the community in decisions which directly affect them, and to provide the necessary services identified by the community as important.

Community Involvement
The City of Bowling Green has an official population of 30,028. Bowling Green is the county seat for Wood County and is home to Bowling Green State University. Bowling Green State University has an enrollment of over 18,000 students on the main campus. The Bowling Green Police Division adheres to the Community Oriented Policing philosophy whereby we want to establish relationships and partnerships with the community that we serve. Please take a moment to examine our Mission Statement which guides us in our daily service to the citizens of Bowling Green.
Employees of the police division are very active in our local schools through the D.A.R.E., EZ+, and other programs. We provide service to our business community through Liquor Education and Enforcement Training and our partnerships extend into the residential neighborhoods with proactive patrol and Home Security Surveys. Lastly, employees of the Bowling Green Police Division serve the community as youth coaches, scout leaders, and on various community boards and organizations. It is through these relationships and services that we are better able to listen to our community and provide service to meet the community's needs. We do not police the community, we police for the community.
