The City Planning Department is charged with the responsibility of carrying out the City's planning function including the preparation and updating of the City's Comprehensive Master Plan. The Department also administers some Ordinances implementing the adopted plan.
These implementation mechanisms include the Access Management Policies and Guidelines (PDF), the Subdivision Regulations (PDF), and the Zoning Code (PDF). Additionally, the Department has oversight of the contract with the Wood County Health Department for the Housing Code.
Zoning Code Update
The City is currently reviewing and updating the zoning code. On October 11, 2021, City Council along with members of the Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals received a review of this work. Follow the links below to the presentation and a video of the presentation.
